CO₂ Performance Ladder

At the Nauta Group, we actively work to reduce our CO₂ emissions. That is why we are certified at Level 3 of the CO₂ Performance Ladder.

The CO₂ Performance Ladder is a tool that helps organizations measure their emissions, reduce them, and communicate transparently about their progress.

What does level 3 mean?

With Level 3, we demonstrate that we have full insight into our CO₂ emissions and actively work on reducing them.

This means that we:

Measure our CO₂ emissions from sources such as fuel consumption and electricity usage
Set clear objectives to reduce these emissions
Implement measures and make conscious choices regarding energy consumption, embedding these in our way of working
Involve and inform our employees about sustainability
Communicate transparently and clearly about our progress and results

Our objective

Our primary objective is to reduce our CO₂ emissions by 12% in the period from 2024 through 2027, compared to 2023.

Our approach

In recent years, the Nauta Group has taken important steps to reduce its environmental impact and operate more sustainably. Our facilities in Barneveld and Deventer are equipped with solar panels combined with permanent battery storage, and following renovation, both locations have achieved an energy label A+++++. In addition, both facilities are completely gas-free.

We also make conscious choices in our product and logistics processes. The packaging of our own Veilig brand has been changed from plastic to recyclable cardboard, and by consolidating shipments, we reduce transport kilometers and therefore our CO₂ emissions.
In addition, all our locations use green electricity, and we maintain a vehicle policy aimed at achieving a fully electric company fleet by 2030.
