At the Nauta Group, we continuously work on improving our business operations. We organize our processes in such a way that we can operate efficiently, sustainably, and with a focus on the future. With our ISO 14001 certification, we work systematically to improve our environmental performance.

What does ISO 14001 mean?

ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management. The standard helps organizations identify and reduce their environmental impact.

This means that we:

  • Identify environmental risks
  • Define clear objectives
  • Take measures to reduce our environmental impact
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

Our Approach

We organize our business operations in a way that enables us to work efficiently and in an environmentally conscious manner. We do this by continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.

Key themes within our environmental policy include:

  • Energieverbruik
  • CO2-uitstoot
  • Afval en grondstoffen
  • Duurzame inkoop

We monitor our performance and make adjustments where necessary. In this way, we ensure continuous and structural improvement of our environmental performance.

What does this mean in practice?

  • Solar panels on our facilities in Barneveld and Deventer, combined with permanent battery storage
  • Following renovation, our locations have achieved energy label A+++++
  • Our facilities in Barneveld and Deventer are fully gas-free
  • Packaging for our own Veilig brand is made from recyclable cardboard instead of plastic
  • Consolidating shipments reduces our transport kilometers and therefore our emissions
  • Green electricity for all our locations
  • Our goal is for all company vehicles to be fully electric by 2030

CO₂ Reduction

An important part of our environmental policy is reducing our CO₂ emissions. To support this, we make use of the CO₂ Performance Ladder.
